:: ABOUT KEVIN SCOTT :: 

 

Currently holding down 8 out of town residencies, Kevin Scott is no stranger to airports and hotel rooms, and with 20 years of dj’ing under his belt, he brings experience to the turntables which is virtually unmatched. His ultra clean mixing and smooth blends along with his original mashups & remixes set him apart from other dj’s in the party rocking genre.

 

Before setting off to travel every week, Kevin Scott was LAX Hollywood’s original resident DJ handling the weekends for the first year and a half it was open. He has worked with industry heavyweights like Busta Rhymes, Bizmarkie, Pharrell, Mickey Avalon, Tony Touch, Mark Ronson, and DJ AM and dj'ed for just about every Hollywood star you could think of. Kevin has also DJ'ed many exclusive Hollywood red carpet and private events. Highlights include a Toronto Film Festival party with Hilary Duff, the X-Box 360 launch party in Hollywood, the official MySpace Halloween Party 2007, a Hurricane Katrina benefit with Nicole Richie, the Benchwarmer Trading Cards launch party, a private party for Vince Neil, the Helio phones Launch Party, as well as the Sweet 16 soiree for Interscope Records CEO Jimmy Iovine's daughter.

 

Besides dj’ing, Kevin Scott is also well respected in the DJ world for his production talents. Before the days of digital dj’ing and serato, Kevin Scott built a vinyl empire with his DMS (Direct Music Service) vinyl record compilations that reached DJ’s across the globe. Records such as Fat Wax, Fillin Tha Gap, Crate Savers, and Reruns were all produced by Kevin and used by radio, club and party dj’s all over the United States and beyond. These edits are NOW AVAILABLE online at www.directmusicservice.com and his current remixes & mashups can be found on the largest digital DJ remix site, Crooklyn Clan (www.crooklynclan.net).

 

Kevin Scott’s current projects include just finishing his BRAND NEW mix cd "It's On" (available for download on this page) and also producing DJ AM’s first official mix cd that will come out on Interscope records.
